Development of Aikido Coaching System by Using KinectIWAIT 2015
We propose the methods to support learning of Aikido skills using Kinect. Aikido is Japanese martial art derived from judo. In Aikido, speed of the movements between persons can be different, thus there are no simple cues to compare a beginner’s movements with a senior’s one. We propose a segmentation technique to divide motion data into several sections of the segments. The proposed segmentation technique makes it possible to compare a beginner's movements to a senior's one. As a result, the recall rate of extracting beginner’s joint that needs to be coached using our methods was 70%. Images
