D3 : A Particle Based 3D Drawing Tool for Depth Perception

 D3 is a tool to draw a picture which produces spatial perception with almost same GUI as conventional drawing tools. Because it has the GUI is similar to conventional drawing tool, beginner user also can draw a picture which produces spatial perception. In D3, each layer has a depth value instead of index value. User’s stroke input is broken down into particles, and each particle is set on the layers. By using depth value of the layer, it is possible to shade a particle and project it with perspective projection. Particles which broken down from a stroke input can have setting on how to render and how to move, in addition to color and location information. And, it is possible to animate drawn object consisting of particles. Thanks to these functions, a picture drawn with D3 provides various depth cues to perceive the space.
